Although housed in Assisted Living, Memory Support is studio apartment style living. This residence has been specially designed to support individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Because those with dementia show a wide range of capabilities and aptitude, customized programs engage each resident as appropriate. Daily tasks and routines revolve around "home living." This encourages active participation, skill maintenance and prolongs independence for as long as possible. Memory Support residents receive extensive monitoring and personal care. It is offered at The Shores at Wesley Manor in Ocean City, and in the spring of 2009 at Bristol Glen in Newton.
